Homebuilders will not build what they cannot sell, and household formation is not so robust that builders should give far more to keep pace with demand. In the mixed income housing units there are each low-revenue residents who acquire vouchers and residents who pay the market place rate rental rates. In the last couple of years the vacancy price has begun to decline which can clarify the current uptick in housing more than the last couple of quarters. It has been many years since the birth of CHA’s Strategy for Transformation and quite a few reasonably priced housing units have been demolished and redeveloped. Rates maintain going up. But just for the reason that the bubble didn’t burst however doesn’t mean that there isn’t a bubble or that it won’t ever burst.
